Earvin "Magic" Johnson played for the Los Angeles Lakers for 13 seasons, from 1979 to 1991 and 1996. He was drafted first overall by the Lakers in the 1979 NBA Draft and immediately made an impact, winning the NBA Finals and being named Finals MVP in his rookie season. Johnson was a five-time NBA champion, three-time Finals MVP, and three-time NBA MVP. He was also a 12-time NBA All-Star and was named to the All-NBA First Team eight times. He is considered one of the greatest point guards in NBA history and was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002.
