Brooks was named AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2002 and earned a championship ring with the Bucs in Super Bowl XXXVII. Later, he was elected to the 2000s all decade defensive team and to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014. He is an 11-time Pro Bowler, 5-time First-team All-Pro and Walter Payton Man of the Year Award Winner. His number 55 is retired by the Buccaneers.
